Hey Beauties!
This trend goes by a few different names: “Graphic
Liner”, “Goth Fairy”, “Pretty Goth”.
Call it what you want, but this look is comprised by
extremely extended winged eyeliner that goes well beyond the outer lash line
and runs deep through the inner lash line.
Dramatic? Yes.
Hard to achieve? Maybe not.
There are some options that will make this vivid eyeliner
a little easier to create.
Read on.

Black or Colorful Eyeliner?
This is your call.
If you are going for drama, which is the hallmark of this look, darker shades are your best bet.
Black, dark brown, or navy blue will give you the intensity that is intended in this trend.
But you can definitely use purple, bright blue, green, etc.
It will be less dramatic, but still will give you a fun effect to show off.
Liquid Liner, Powder Eyeshadow, or Gel Eyeliner?
Which is Better?
Liquid Liner can get a little messy if you’re less familiar with using it (or have had little too much caffeine ⛾). However, it is precise and very color
saturated.
Powder Eyeshadow, which I used, can be a little easier to work with as it is less fluid and can be built up in color once you're happy with its placement (ironically, I had more trouble with the powder eyeshadow than I do with liquid liner, go figure).
Powder eyeshadow doesn't typically have the staying power of a liquid.
You can actually tell in my video that by the end of recording it was starting to fade a bit.
Gel Eyeliner may be the smarter move when creating an extreme liner look like this one.
It gives you the ease of use of a powder with precision and saturation of a liquid.
Most gels typically have good staying power as well so they won't fade as quickly as a powder.
How Do I Get Started with my Graphic Eye Liner Look?

1. Black Eyeshadow + Angled Eyeshadow Brush: Take a matte black eyeshadow on an angled eyeshadow brush and start by just tracing along the natural line of your lashes.
At the outer corner of your lash line start by making a short wing. Then continue to add to that wing and extend it until it is at the same stopping point as the end of your eyebrow.
Then begin to work the shadow deep into the inner corners of your eyes, well beyond the lash line & tear duct.
2. Connecting the Lines: Trace along the lower lash line and connect the top and bottom lines at the inner corners of the eyes.
3. Lower Lashes & Mascara: Take the black eyeshadow in the other direction across the lower lash line and wing it up a bit as you finish your line at the outer end of the lashes.
Add a volumizing mascara to top and bottom lashes.
4. Conceal & Contour: Take a concealer and swipe it under the eyes to clean up any eyeshadow fallout.
Use a light brown contour shade to define the face by running it in between the cheek & jaw bones.
5. Highlight, Blush, & Mauve Lipstick: Use a white highlighter shade to dust the tops of the cheek bones.
With a neutral shade blush, blend into the apples of the cheeks and use it to bring together the contour and highlighter shades.
To finish up the look take a mauve liquid lipstick and swipe it on your lips.
And finally we have...

A very dramatic, full on eye look.
Perfect for parties and special events.
Probably not a makeup look you would wear to work. Although, I guess that depends on what you do for a living. 😂
It's kind of tricky to get the exact same look on both eyes.
One reason for this is because everyone's eyes are ever so slightly different shaped.
It's actually a good thing because if our eyes and faces were perfectly symmetrical we'd look pretty creepy.
But, it also makes it harder to get even eyeliner effects.
With a little extra practice the differences will be less noticeable.
But, I don't find myself needing to create mega winged liner on the regular. 😊
