Too Faced | Enchanted Beauty Unbearably Glam Makeup Set | Tutorial & Review (with Swatches!)

Hey beautiful people!

I hope you are staying safe and warm right now.
Not sure what the weather’s like in your part of the world but here in NY we had a decent amount of snow earlier in the week. ⛄❅
But no matter what it looks like outside get ready for sparkling makeup tutorial and review of Too Faced’s Unbearably Glam makeup collection!

You can watch my video review and step-by-step tutorial here

You may have already seen my review of the counterpart to this set; the Foxy Neutrals collection (or you can read it here).
If you follow me on Instagram, you have already seen some of the fun makeup looks you can create with these makeup sets.

But today is all about the Unbearably Glam collection! 😊

REVIEW & SWATCHES

I purchased this set from Sephora's website.
Of course, I had more fun with the Unbearably Glam collection than the Foxy Neutrals because you know what a sucker I am for glitter and shimmer makeup.😁

The Unbearably Glam makeup collection comes with an eyeshadow palette, a face palette, and their cult classic mascara, all for $36.

The palettes have a beautiful iridescent shine to them that looks blue, pink, or purple depending on how the light hits them. This extra touch of glam makes even the packaging aesthetically pleasing.

The eye palette has 12 eyeshadows in multiple finishes.
The face palette has a highlighter and blush, no bronzer or contour shade.
It comes with a travel sized mascara but no eyeshadow primer or lip product as it has in past Sephora-Too Faced collaborations.

EYESHADOW

A regal polar bear graces the cover of the eyeshadow palette decked out in jewels and a queen’s crown. 👑

I am a much bigger fan of this palette than the Foxy Neutrals one because I love the shades and variety of finishes. The shimmers and glitters are so spectacular!

This palette is perfect for (Zoom) parties, special events, virtual NYE or just when you want a little extra sparkle in your life.✨

This palette has 3 matte shades, 6 shimmer shades, and 3 glitter shades.
Most shades have really excellent pigment and last quite a long time.

Let's look at each shade individually with some swatches!

SWATCHES

My arm sparkled like a Winter Wonderland for quite some time after I took these pictures, which is really just a testament to the great staying power these eyeshadows have.

Christmas Dreams – Baby pink with silver shimmer
Silver Bells – Gold & silver glitter
Candy Cane – Hot pink with fine silver shimmer
Blue Christmas – Light steel blue with white shimmer

Special Delivery – Bunt sienna with a matte finish
Boxes & Bows – Coral pink with a matte finish
String of Lights – Pink & silver glitter
Sleigh Bells – Black with blue shimmer

All I Want – Maroon brown with fine silver shimmer
Lords A Leapin’ – Peach with white shimmer
Nutcracker – Cinnamon brown with a matte finish
Ice Queen – Silver & multi colored glitter

Stats:

Lasts for: 12+ Hours
Formula: Pressed Powder
Fallout: Minimal
Blendable: Yes (not the glitters)
Chalky/Flakey: One/No

Pros: These eyeshadows are gorgeous!
All of them are super long lasting with amazing pigments.
The shimmers & mattes are soft and blend lovely.
The glitter shades are super saturated and soft to the touch. They apply best with your fingertip and a press-and-roll motion (you can see it in the video) as opposed to brushing them on. If you use this method you will get the most beautiful glitter effect, almost foil like.

Cons: One matte shade (Nutcracker) goes on a little patchy so it requires a little more effort to work with it. The glitters, like most glitter eyeshadows, doesn't work well if you try to blend it or sweep it on. Gentle pressing is the way to go.

Star Rating for Eyeshadows: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 out of 5)
Would I by it Again: Yes!

Final thoughts: A truly fantastic eyeshadow palette! With buttery mattes, glistening shimmers, and sparkling glitters you are bound to be bright spot of any event!🥳

FACE

No bronzer, which is truly inconsistent with the usual Too Faced winter season collections from Sephora 🤷

Angel Kisses – Champagne with silver shimmer
Makeup & Be Merry – Bubble gun pink with a matte finish

Stats:

 Lasts for: Both, 12+ Hours
Formula: Pressed Powder
Smudges/Streaks/Runs: No/No/No
Blendable: Yes
Chalky/Flakey: No/No

Pros: The highlighter has a pearly/shimmery finish that glides on beautifully for the perfect lit-from-within glow. The blush is a powder but it has such a creamy consistency, it blends like a dream.

Cons: Honestly, none.

Star Rating for the Face Palette: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 out of 5)
Would I Buy it Again: Yes

Final thoughts: Absolutely stunning highlighter and blush! Excellent pigmentation in both, a little goes a long way so you won't run out of these guys too fast 👍

MASCARA

I feel like I’ve reviewed this product every year because it always comes with a Too Faced makeup collection, but here are some quick stats on it on it anyway 😀

Stats:

Color: Black
Waterproof: No
Formula: Lengthening/Volumizing
Wand: Straight
Smudges: No
Drying: No
Flakey: No
Lasts for: 12+ Hours

Pros: This mascara has always been a favorite of mine. The hype is totally warranted; it is a phenomenal mascara. It gives lashes beautiful length, a lovely fanned out look, and a natural wispy appearance that I've never seen another mascara do. The wand is on the straighter side but has full, long bristles that are terrific for adding volume.

Cons: It's not waterproof, but it doesn't claim to be. They do sell a waterproof version it as well.

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 out of 5)
Would I Buy It Again: Yes

Final thoughts: An amazing mascara that truly deserves all the accolades it receives. It is so fantastic that I have even worn it all by itself, no other makeup, and gotten compliments on my eye makeup. This is an excellent mascara!

TUTORIAL

You can watch the video tutorial here

Here is a little step-by-step of how I created this look

1. Primer, Nutcracker, and Blend: Apply a thin layer of eyeshadow primer from lash line to brow bone. Take Nutcracker ( cinnamon brown matte) and run it right through the crease of the eye, taking it out at the outer corner and winging it. Then blend it to get rid of any harsh lines.

2. Candy Cane on Lid: Press and blend Candy Cane (hot pink shimmer) onto lid building in color intensity layer by layer. Pull the shadow out a bit at the outer corners for a wing effect.

3. Press String of Lights All Over Lid: Use your finger to press-and-roll String of Lights (pink and silver glitter) all over eye lid, don't blend or sweep, 'pressing-and-rolling' it gives a much stronger glitter effect. Then use a small brush to press the glitter in the wing you created with Candy Cane.

4. Liquid & Pencil Liners, All I Want & Ice Queen Shadows: Run a thin line of liquid liner across the top lash line, fill lower water line with a black pencil liner, trace All I Want (maroon brown shimmer) along lower lash line for extra definition and pop some of Ice Queen (silver and multi colored glitter) in the inner corners of the eyes for extra sparkle.

5. Christmas Dreams, Mascara & Concealer: Sweep Christmas Dreams (baby pink shimmer) onto brow bone, apply signature mascara to top and bottom lashes and then add a concealer to under eyes. There is virtually no fallout, but this cleans up everything anyway.

 6. Contour, Angel Kisses, Makeup & Be Merry, and Lip Gloss: Run a contour shade under cheek bones and blend toward mouth, curve up around apples of cheeks. Sweep Angel Kisses highlighter on the tops of cheek bones and on the high points of face (forehead, bridge of nose, etc.). Blend Makeup & Be Merry onto apples of cheeks and blend contour, highlighter, and blush together for a seamless transition. Take a light pink shimmer gloss and apply to lips.

And then we have...

Super glittery pink eyeshadow and a cut crease along with a pearly highlight and cheery blush!

I did a thinner swipe of eyeliner on the top lash line because I wanted the eyeshadow to be the star of the show.

I went for a shimmery, glossy lip color instead of a bold matte. I wanted to keep with the theme of glitter and glam.

ipsy | November 2020 | Glam Bag Review (with Swatches!)

Hey there Lovelies!
Today I am reviewing November's ipsy glam bag for you along with some swatches of the products.
I'm so excited about these products! One has literally become my new go-to product and I don't know how I ever got by without it!

You can catch my video review here

(P.S. you can see my tutorial of the glitter cut-crease eyeshadow I'm wearing here)

Quick Stats:

Number of Products I'll Use Regularly: 4
My Overall Star Rating for November's Glam Bag: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭑ (4 out of 5)
Thoughts on November’s Glam Bag: I LOVE the products for November! And the quality of the products is so high! Nearly perfect, and I found the Holy Grail of concealers!

I adore the color block design for November. And the shades give such a great fall-feeling to the bag.

The bag is totally cute, but we know it's what's on the inside that counts!😁
So, onto the product!!

1. COMPLEX CULTURE: FULL TIME Eyeshadow: Dinner Party Duo in Chestnut & Rose Gold

Brand: Complex Culture
Product:
Eyeshadow Duo
Name of Shade:
Chestnut & Rose Gold
Color:
Tawny Brown & Beige

Finish: Matte & Shimmer
Formula: Pressed Powder
Fallout: None
Chalky/Flakey : No/No
Blendable: Yes
Lasts for: 12+ Hours

Pros:  Velvety soft shadows that have extreme staying power. These eyeshadows stand up against rain, wind and just regular long wear. I really put these to the test and they lasted over 12 hours without creasing, smudging or budging.
And the shades are the perfect sophisticated pair for (Zoom) parties and other events where you want a touch of class.
The matte shade works beautifully for a defined crease and the shimmer shade is perfect for the lid to get an all over sparkle.✨

Cons:  None.

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 out of 5)
Would I Purchase: Yes.

Final Thoughts: Truly gorgeous eyeshadow shades that withstand the elements and are perfectly chic.

2. EYEKO: Rock Out and Lash Out Mascara in Carbon Black

Brand: Eyeko
Product: Mascara
Size: Mini
Name of Shade: Carbon Black
Color: Black
Waterproof: Yes
Formula: Volumizing
Wand Shape: Straight, Wider Rounded Tip
Smudges/Flakes: No/No
Lasts for: 10+ Hours

Pros: The inky black shade adds extra definition to lashes. rounded end of the wand gives precision coverage to each little lash for a super full and volumized lash line.

Cons: The formula is so liquid-y, to borders on runny. It can make lashes stick together if you’re not careful. It also can be a bit messy on the lower lashes.

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭑ (4 out of 5)
Would I PurchaseProbably Not

Final Thoughts:
A nice, very black mascara that really gives beautiful definition to lashes. The formula is too runny, but the tip of the wand is the saving grace of this mascara; it combs and separates lashes.

3. JUSBOX PERFUMES: Feather Supreme Eau de Parfum

Brand: JUSBOX
Product: Eau de Parfum
Name of Scent: Feather Supreme
Fragrance Notes: Floral + Earthy
Duration Before Fading: 6 Hours

Pros: In my video review I said it wasn’t floral or fruity, but after wearing it a few more times I am picking up on floral notes as well.
To me it has a sophisticated scent (does that even make sense?)
If I were to go to a classy black-tie gala, I would expect to smell this scent on the elegantly dressed individuals there (why would I be there?)👗

Cons: It’s kind of hard to list a con when it comes to something as subjective as fragrances, other than if it fades too fast. The only other criteria is ‘Like it’ ‘Don’t like it’ and everyone is attracted to different scents.

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭑ (4 out of 5)
Would I Purchase: Probably not

Final Thoughts: It is quite a lovely scent and I have received compliments on it (through masks even!😷) It has a nice scent, it just doesn't hit me in a 'I want to buy it' kind of way.

4. MOTD COSMETICS: A Perfect 10 Tapered Face Brush

Brand: MOTD COSMETICS
Name of Brush: Tapered Face Brush
Feature for Brush: Face
Feature I Use it for: Blush, Setting Powder
Formula it Works Best with: Powder
Blends Makeup Well: Yes
Bristles Splay: No

Pros:  This brush is massive! I love how much coverage it gives while still have a tapered tip for precision application of blush or other specified products. It is crazy soft and blends makeup so beautifully.

Cons: None.

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 out of 5)
Would I Purchase: Yes

Final Thoughts: Super soft brush that gives either full sweeping coverage or a precise pop product application.

5. TARTE: Double Duty Beauty™ Shape Tape™ Concealer in Fair Neutral

Brand: Tarte
Name of Shade: 12N Fair Neutral
Size: Mini
Color: Porcelain
Undertones: Neutral
Finish: Natural
Formula: Liquid
Coverage: Full
Waterproof: Yes
Smudges/Streaks/Runs: No/No/No
Blendable: Yes
Lasts for: 15+ Hours

Pros: I am crazy in love with this concealer! 😍
I didn’t fully believe the hype before and I honestly didn’t want to like it because I didn’t want to consider paying more for concealer.
But this is the best concealer I’ve ever used! I am going to give it its own separate review post but here are some quick facts:
It is creamy and a beautiful full coverage without looking cakey or fake.
It does not sink into fine lines or creases.
It lasts through pretty much anything without moving or looking worn.
It covers blemishes, dark circles, and other imperfections like an eraser.
It is the Holy Grail of concealers! And even though it’s a bit pricier than my everyday concealer, a little goes such a long way I won’t run out as fast as I do with my regular concealer.

Cons: NONE!!!

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (10 out of 5!)
Would I Purchase: Yes, and I am!

Final thoughts: I cannot say enough good things about this concealer! I am seriously impressed. I was so hard on this concealer and put it through rigorous tests to see if it is really worth the price. It is.💖

And of course, here are a few of the makeup looks I created with November's products:

COMPLEX CULTURE: FULL TIME Eyeshadow: Dinner Party Duo in Chestnut & Rose Gold
EYEKO: Rock Out and Lash Out Mascara in Carbon Black
TARTE: Double Duty Beauty™ Shape Tape™ Concealer in Fair Neutral
